Are You A Church Leader?
Really?
Based on What or Who?
What gives you authority to call yourself a leader in a church? Many claim that the Bible does but when you really talk to some people today they appeal to the constitution that give them a "right" to believe, teach and practice many things that we do NOT find in God's Word, the Bible.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.(2 Timothy 4:3-4)

Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us what is right; speak to us smooth things, prophesy illusions, (Isaiah 30:10)

There are preachers today that draw large crowds with smooth sayings but what do they really teach on sin, salvation, the church that Jesus built and died for and the judgement to come? They preach to millions of itching ears. Proverbs 4:12,"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

Matthew 24:11 - And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Luke 6:26 - Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
2 Peter 2:1-3 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
You may not quickly identify a false teacher based on how he or she dress, talk, sing, pray or even live but you can identify them based on what they teach!!!
Jeremiah 14:14-16 - Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
Did you know that worship in the bible
(true worship) was aimed at god being the object of worship and doing ONLY what he commands?
What has happened to the worship of God today? Well several things! 1) False teachers have taught people to believe what they say about the Bible rather allowing the Bible to speak for itself. 2) Because of this many show more reverence for the "Reverend" or "Pastor" rather than to God (In Palms 111:9 this reverence is to be shown to men or God?) 3) Too many are not studying the Bible "Faith comes by hearing and that by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17) and thus "without faith it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews 11:6). Satan has now deceived millions that sit in religious organizations by allowing them to live by the flesh NOT the Spirit because again such can not please God (Romans 8:5-8) and living in the flesh voids any of us of having the Spirit of Christ and makes us none of His. This explains the worldliness and large "mega church" crowds that defy God, His church and His word today! Take a look at the picture below, is this reveling crowd at a concert or in a church setting? The sad part is many have been led to today to worship in the same spirit and manner as they do in the world.
Matthew 23:1-8

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Why do some religious groups call their leaders "Father" when Jesus clearly said not to do so?
Lastly at the end of the 20th century many began to endorse, recognize and celebrate Women Preachers and Pastors" in their churches. What does the Bible teach regarding this new movement?
1 Timothy 2:11-12, which reads, "Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet."
So, what exactly does this mean practically? What are women restricted from doing? The clear implication is that women are not to serve in any role which involves the authoritative spiritual teaching of men. By this definition, the role of teaching pastor/shepherd is reserved for men. This is confirmed in the two passages which deal specifically with the qualifications for church leadership (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:6-9). Church leaders are described as the "husband of one wife," "a man whose children believe," and "men worthy of respect."
Many of these women and their supports in defiance to God and His Word ignore these plain scriptures to their and those who support them destruction. For those that find this to be confusion understand that God and those who submit to what is said in these verses are not the author of this confusion (I Corinthians 14:33-38). Paul concludes here by saying if any man be ignorant let him be ignorant if they don't want to accept this Bible teaching. Oh and if Paul is a male chauvinist then you certainly do not want to accept the Bible books of Romans to Philemon!

Can you see the mess that we have gotten ourselves in by not knowing and obeying the simple gospel plan that God has given us? Many of us have walk away from the teachings, churches and fables of men and embraced the doctrine of Christ. Are you interested in obeying ONLY Christ and His teaching?
